Our religious institute is certified by Praesidium for the work we do, and the efforts we make, to provide safe environments in all our houses and ministries. All of our current membership have undergone Praesidium training and have been periodically updated, as well.
We see this as an integral part of preaching the Word of Christ and his Gospel message of peace and healing: all people need to experience the compassionate Christ. As missionaries, we feel that our founder would be one of the first to go toward those who have been victimized and to extend a supportive hand, a loving embrace and prayer with the Crucified One who now is calling out for help.
Yet, as an apostolic religious congregation in the Roman Catholic Church we also need to be honest, open and transparent with our own policy for maintaining ethical conduct in ministry. The below linked document sets out the steps and practice for the Montfort Missionaries should a member violate the trust placed in him.
To locate our policy, please click on the following link. A PDF version will open in a new window, and this can then be saved for reference.
Should you have questions on the policy, or need more information about safe environments, please contact us. You will receive guidance and assistance from a trained professional who can lead you in the steps toward reconciliation, healing and peace.
